Electronics manufacturer Samsung has partnered with Web3 company Illuvium centred around Illuvium’s universe of three interconnected games.
In an era where the line between the digital and the physical increasingly blurs, Illuvium proudly announces a partnership with Samsung, a titan of innovation. This collaboration is not just a meeting of minds; it’s the convergence of two universes, each at the forefront of their respective industries.
The partnership will be unveiled at Gamescom 2024 where the Web3 company will feature heavily in Samsung’s booth on select Samsung Web3 TVs.
As part of the deal, fans at Gamescom will be able to experience all three of Illuvium’s aforementioned games — Overworld, Arena and Zero — at the Samsung booth. It is worth noting that Arena is seemingly looking to enter the esports space by showcasing its esports capability with community events and livestreams.
Illuvium previously partnered with Team Liquid to promote Illivium: Arena, the collaboration saw nine of Team Liquid’s streamers play the autobattler and showcase the game’s new competitive PvP mode.
The GEN3RATOR campaign is the backbone of the deal between the two companies. According to a release, the campaign is designed to merge the Illuvium and Samsung communities. Fans will also be given the chance to win prizes, including 10 GEN3RATOR NFTs, Samsung’s latest digital tool that unlocks features on the Samsung Web3 Roadmap.
The Illuvium CEO and Co-Founder Kieran Warwick will be present at Gamescom as a speaker in the “Good Morning Gamescom” panel discussion.
Partnerships with games companies and entities aspiring to get into esports are nothing new to Samsung, with the phone manufacturers currently boasting a PUBG Mobile division alongside esports organisation NRG. The company has also sponsored multiple events and esports organisations including TELUS Esports, GODSENT, Snapdragon Pro Series and more.
This partnership combines Samsung’s unparalleled technology with the breathtaking universe of Illuvium. It’s a testament to the power of collaboration and promises to introduce our community to a new dimension of engagement and immersion.
“As we blend Samsung’s innovative technology with Illuvium’s intricate world-building, we’re not just bridging two worlds; we’re expanding the boundaries of what’s possible. The fusion of these universes promises to enhance your Illuvium experience, bringing the virtual and the real into closer harmony.
The journey ahead is charged with potential, and we’re just scratching the surface of what this partnership can unlock. Stay connected as we explore the infinite possibilities born from the collision of these two worlds”.
How to participate: the rules with NFTs
Samsung has selected key partners for the TX1 campaign, and Illuvium is one of only two partners in the gaming sector.
To participate, users will need to acquire two types of NFT: the Samsung Gen3 Chip and the GEN3RATOR.
Combining these NFT activates the GEN3RATOR, which grants access to exclusive partner NFTs, including 2,000 pieces of Illuvium and others. These digital assets are digital artworks and not physical products.
The partnership between Illuvium and Samsung represents a fundamental milestone in the evolution of digital connectivity and immersive experiences.
Thanks to Samsung’s vast distribution network, Illuvium will enter the homes of millions of people, exponentially increasing its visibility and diffusion.
With the beginning of this new digital era, the potential for creativity, connection, and immersive experiences is limitless.
